Direct answer

XH Glasses develops custom metal optical frames from buyer specifications, samples or authorized design directions. Frame structure, components, surface color, finish, logo and packaging are reviewed model by model. Optical frames include non-prescription demo lenses only, and no alloy, weight, skin-contact or compliance claim is inferred from appearance.

Customization direction

Controlled structures and surface finishes

Standard MOQ is 500 pairs per style in total; exact quantities can be discussed for the model and specification. Colors may be combined, subject to materials, lenses, components and process feasibility. Sampling is typically 7–10 working days after requirements are confirmed; bulk production is approximately 25 working days after sample approval and order confirmation.

Availability, material identity, components, dimensions, finish, testing criteria and documentation are confirmed case by case. Optical frames use non-prescription demo lenses only. Prescription lenses, prescription-lens selection, edging and fitting are not supplied.

01

Start with the construction, not a material assumption

A thin or delicate appearance does not establish weight, alloy identity or performance. The brief should first define the intended rim, bridge, temple and component relationships. Full-rim and other construction directions can be evaluated, but feasibility depends on geometry, joining, components and the planned lens interface. Metal-family names such as titanium or stainless steel are used only after the supplier grade and written specification are confirmed.

  • Construction reviewed against the design
  • Exact metal identity confirmed in writing
  • No weight or alloy inferred from appearance
  • Components and joining method reviewed by project
02

Specify the complete component system

Metal optical frames depend on more than the visible front. Bridge details, rims, hinges, temples, nose-pad arms, nose pads, screws and temple tips need compatible dimensions and finishes. If a buyer requests a particular nose-pad material, temple-tip color or hardware direction, it should appear in the bill of materials and sample record. Optical frames are supplied with non-prescription demo lenses; prescription lens selection and fitting are not included.

  • Rim, bridge and temple geometry
  • Hinge, screw and hardware direction
  • Nose-pad and temple-tip specification
  • Non-prescription demo lens only
03

Treat color and finish as controlled project decisions

Gold-tone, silver-tone, gunmetal and other color names describe appearance, not precious-metal content or a defined plating system. The exact surface process, color target and acceptance reference must be confirmed for the model. Laser marking, printed branding and decorative parts also depend on surface geometry and process compatibility. Durability, corrosion, nickel release or skin-contact claims require a defined construction and suitable evidence.

  • Color direction and surface process
  • Physical finish and logo sample
  • No automatic nickel-free or hypoallergenic claim
  • Any durability protocol agreed before production
04

Connect testing and documentation to the final model

Destination-market obligations can vary between optical frames, non-prescription sunglasses and other intended uses. The buyer should identify the destination, brand or legal-manufacturer role, importer, label information and required tests before production. XH can coordinate agreed samples and document inputs, but this page does not present a universal certification or report for every metal frame.

  • Final intended purpose and destination
  • Named responsible parties and label inputs
  • Test model and configuration identified
  • Buyer or third-party inspection planned separately

Before quotation

Prepare a metal optical frame specification

A clear RFQ distinguishes the visible design from material identity and performance requirements. State which construction and finish details are mandatory, which supplier or test documents are required and which decisions can be resolved during sampling.

Frequently asked questions

Confirm the scope
before sampling.

Do metal optical frames include prescription lenses?+

No. Metal optical frames are supplied with non-prescription demo lenses only. Prescription lens selection, edging and fitting remain outside the supplied product scope.

Can you supply titanium or stainless-steel optical frames?+

Metal-family and supplier-grade options can be reviewed by project. We do not describe a frame as titanium, stainless steel or another specific alloy until the material and component specification is confirmed.

Are thin metal frames automatically lightweight or hypoallergenic?+

No. Appearance does not prove weight, alloy composition, nickel release or skin compatibility. Any related claim requires a defined final construction and suitable evidence.

Can colors be combined within one metal optical style?+

A proposed color split can be reviewed within the typical 500-pair-per-style starting MOQ. Plating, coating, components and supplier minimums determine the final feasible allocation.

Can buyer-appointed testing or inspection be arranged?+

Yes, when agreed before production. The product configuration, test or inspection scope, samples, laboratory or inspection party, cost, timing and acceptance method must be confirmed in writing.
